There's this old church next to our flat. The balcony off our room faces it directly. There is still a small stone cross at the top, but the roof is missing and so is the bell, although you can see the metal that it once hung off. The windows are filled with grey bricks and it looks like the most dreary, unwelcoming place ever. As far as we know, it has no name, or it's been a while since anyone has remembered it.

They're building a new school in the lot next to it, in the morning you can hear them working away on it. The structure is maybe nearly complete.

Eventually, every available spot in this city will be built upon. Concrete, and bricks, and stone.

My main objective is to find time, soon, where I can get out of the city. See some green of trees and grass, maybe even a bit of the sea. [It's funny to have such a lack of time to do anything at all. I hadn't realised how much free time I had before.] The past two days have been lovely; flowers are sprouting in the park gardens, the sky is (sometimes) blue and the sun sticks around almost until six.

Things have been pretty busy and I will blame that for it being mid-February already. The internship search has begun, but I'm not completely certain that's what will happen next. It's funny to be away from home for so long, and still not even be sure what home really is. Time & money & distance.

My day has been spent staring at CVs. Tomorrow, it will be spent working. Sunday, it will be Hot Fuzz & hopefully something green. Who knows.
